The Big Day Logistics
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony starts promptly at 4:00 PM.
Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early to find a seat and settle in!
What is the dress code?
For Friday Welcome Dinner:
Elevated Casual
(Think nice tops with pants, casual dresses, suits, or jumpsuits—whatever you’d wear for a nice night out!)
For Saturday:
Cocktail Attire (we encourage wearing color!)
Will the ceremony and reception be outdoors?
Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will all be held outdoors (weather permitting).
Because the ceremony takes place on a grass lawn down steps, we highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes or block heels. We will move indoors later in the evening for dancing!

Yes, complimentary parking is available on-site at the venue.
Is there a hotel block? how do I book it?

Is transportation provided to and from the venue?
Because all of our wedding events are taking place on-site at Timber Cove, there is no need for additional transportation once you arrive!
What will the weather be like in October?
October on the Sonoma Coast is beautiful, but it can be unpredictable.
We are hoping for a sunny, warm day, but the coast is susceptible to wind and the temperature will drop in the evening. We highly recommend bringing a jacket, sweater, or light wrap to stay comfortable.
What is the closest airport?
Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport (STS):
The closest option (about a 1-hour and 15-minute drive), but it is a smaller regional airport with fewer flight options.
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) & Oakland International Airport (OAK):
Both are larger hubs with more flight options, located about 2.5 hours away from the venue.

Due to the intimate size of our venue, we are only able to accommodate the guests explicitly listed on your invitation. Thank you so much for your understanding!
Are kids welcome?
While we love all the little ones in our lives, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration, with the exception of immediate family.

Coastlines & Ocean Views
Salt Point State Park & Stump Beach
Just 10 minutes north. Famous for its dramatic coastal bluffs, sandstone tide pools, and hidden coves.
Goat Rock Beach
About 30 minutes south. An iconic Sonoma Coast beach where the Russian River meets the Pacific Ocean. Great for beachcombing and spotting the local colony of harbor seals lounging near the river mouth.
(Note: Swimming here is dangerous due to strong rip currents)
Sea Ranch Public Trails
While much of Sea Ranch is private, guests can access gorgeous public trails mapped out by Sonoma County Parks
Wineries & Tastings
Fort Ross Vineyard & Winery
15 minutes inland/uphill. Located in the official Fort Ross-Seaview AVA, this is one of the closest tasting rooms to Timber Cove. It sits high above the fog line with ocean views
Hirsch Vineyards
25–30 minutes into the hills. Known for small-batch, cool-climate coastal wines, this ridge-top vineyard showcases the wild side of West Sonoma County winemaking.
Day Trip to Russian River Valley
40–50 minutes inland toward Guerneville or West County. For those looking for a classic wine-tasting day, head down Hwy 116 toward Sebastopol/Guerneville to find dozens of wineries like Korbel Champagne Cellars, Gary Farrell, Iron Horse, and more.
Wildlife & Unique Day Trips
Safari West (The "Giraffe Sanctuary")
About 1 hour 15 minutes inland (near Santa Rosa). A massive 400-acre African wildlife preserve where guests can take open-air jeep tours to see giraffes, rhinos, zebras, cheetahs, and more
B. Bryan Preserve
~50 minutes north up Highway 1. A smaller, initimate 110-acre private conservation center dedicated to endangered African hoofstock that also offers tours and close-up feeding experiences
Whale Watching at Bodega Head
40 minutes south. A massive granite headland jutting into the ocean. It’s one of the best vantage points in Northern California for spotting migrating Gray Whales, harbor seals, and seabirds.
Kayaking the Russian River
20 minutes south (in Jenner). Rent kayaks or paddleboards at WaterTreks in Jenner to explore the calm estuary waters where the river flows into the sea—a great way to see seals and sea otters up close.
Local Bites & Drinks
Café Aquatica
20 minutes south. A charming, laid-back outdoor coffee dock right on the Russian River estuary. Famous for fresh clam chowder, organic coffee, and live acoustic music on the deck.
Stewart's Point Store
15 minutes north. A restored historic general store from 1868 offering great espresso, fresh pastries, and artisanal picnic goods.
The Sea Ranch Lodge
25 minutes north. Stop by this iconic lodge to grab coffee and pastries at the café, enjoy a meal with ocean views at the restaurant, or walk along the property's various trails.
